G2 Esports Books ‘Squad’ Talent Show


G2 Esports and paysafecard – a market leader in online prepaid payment methods – are teaming up to invite Fortnite influencers from around the world to enter the newest talent show aimed at finding the next four top content creators in Fortnite, titled Making the Squad.

The show, further backed by Logitech G and Esport-Management, will have Fortnite enthusiasts and influencers compete in a series of interactive online challenges, for a chance to secure one of four full-time streaming contracts with the club and access to a global audience in the #G2ARMY.

“Supporting one of the world’s first international, interactive talent shows to find the next big influencer in Fortnite, is a fantastic way for us to connect the paysafecard brand with the esports community in an authentic, meaningful way,” said Oliver Wolf, VP of Marketing at paysafecard. “Continuously engaging in innovative projects in esports that enable and activate our fans, is a major part of our commitment to help the industry grow, and we’re thrilled to embark on in this journey together with our partner G2 Esports.”

Making the Squad will serve as the first-ever interactive talent show produced by an esports organization, according to the announcement, as participants compete in a slate of challenges designed to prove their skill in the game and entertainment value. Fans will be a part of the action through engaging video content, streamed activities and customized challenges on social media.

The contest will take place over the course of eight weeks, from call for entries to finals which will be hosted on location in Berlin. All current Fortnite content creators over the age of 16 are invited to apply to be one of the 20 chosen to compete,with the submission period running from Nov. 8-15The top four most entertaining and talented players will secure a streaming contract with G2 Esports.
